2010 NE Regional Retreat

"How To Live Our Lives As Jesus Would"
Speaker: Rev. Phil Ashey

February 19-21, 2010

Frost Valley YMCA, Claryville NY

Family Fun

CLS invites you to join with us this coming February for a wonderful weekend of fellowship, fun and food for your soul. We are planning a relaxing weekend with plenty of time set aside for spiritual growth and quiet times.  Included in the Retreat schedule will be one session for CLE.  In addition, weather permitting, we are also planning a rematch of last year's broomball game (to see footage of last year's game on YouTube, click here) as well as snow tubing on the tubing hill, and star-gazing at the Frost Valley Observatory under the astronomical guidance of CLS member Ray Dague.  If you are an attorney and you would like to REGISTER for the retreat, click here. If you are a law student and you would like to REGISTER for the retreat, click here. To see more photos from last year's Retreat, click here.

Speaker

Our retreat speaker this year is the Rev. J. Philip Ashey, former CLS Chaplain and dear friend to many of us.  Phil is now serving as the COO and Chaplain of the American Anglican Counsel.  He will be teaching us about discipleship in a series of talks titled: "How to Live Our Lives as Jesus Would."  This four-part series will begin on Friday evening with "Is   it Really Possible?," followed by two sessions on Saturday: "From Hardness to Wholeness" and "Getting a Grip on Grace," and will conclude Sunday morning with "Grace Under Fire."
