The Job You’re a senior level Compliance and Risk professional aspiring to use your gifts and talents to make a positive impact on the world by eradicating poverty and transforming the lives of children, families and communities. Join World Vision USA as the Compliance Risk Sr. Manager and assist in planning, developing, directing and coordinating the organization's program for Compliance Risk. The position oversees selected programs to ensure that risks are identified, analyzed, controlled and monitored. This role serves as a resource to legal/contracts, fundraising operations, leadership and staff in clarifying, as well as mitigating or resolving compliance risk management issues or potential risk management issues. You help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies and personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
What success looks like (1) You develop, execute and sustain a Compliance Risk program including but not limited to: Sanctions compliance, regulatory and voluntary fundraising standards, beneficiary safeguarding, donor privacy, and data breach. You use your good judgement and discernment to evaluate compliance risks to ensure effective strategies are employed for the highest risks. (2) You succinctly and accurately summarize and report regularly to senior leadership on key activities within the compliance program and escalate gaps and concerns to appropriate executive leaders. You regularly provide a compliance risk dashboard to the Audit & Finance Committee in support of their oversight role and support compliance risk mitigation management in collaboration with designated business units. (3) You use your effective communication skills to establish, maintain and leverage the important relationships with other functions, including HR, Marketing, Programs, World Vision International and other business units to direct activities and to promote an efficient and synchronized approach to compliance risk management. (4) You create collaboration with legal, to both advise and consult on the design and implementation of key performance indicators, key risk indicators, and business changes to provide tactical regulatory/compliance and ensure consistent framework, standards and risk tolerances are followed as well as assessing applicability and risk level of new/updated laws, rules and regulations. (5) You proactively identify and communicate deficiencies or gaps with regulatory compliance and provide guidance in the development of alternative solutions or implementation of corrective action. (6) You support your compliance and risk partners to identify potential control weaknesses and make recommendations to strengthen them. (7) You work to simplify requirements that business teams must satisfy and develop strategies to support the efficient implementation of those requirements. (8) You maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities and reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.
