In 1995, Lighthouse Baptist Church of Ashtabula, Ohio, started Lighthouse Legal Ministries, a legal ministry to Independent Baptist churches without charge. Since its inception, LLM has helped thousands of independent Baptist churches, Christian schools, Bible colleges, pastors, evangelists and missionaries across America and beyond in legal matters involving religious freedom, taxes and more. Our director is retired Army Lt. Col. Jim Robideau, a former prosecutor and General Counsel with the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs. LLM needs experienced attorneys to help in “the care of all the churches.” Duties include dispensing legal advice, representing clients, preparing legal documents, conducting seminars, and speaking at churches and Bible colleges.
Our primary requirements are:
• Be an independent Baptist with a passion for the religious liberties of independent Baptist churches.
• Be a member of the Ohio bar or willing to waive in membership.
• Be willing to relocate to northeast Ohio.
