Fellowship Meetings:

Approximately once every quarter, the society sponsors a breakfast or luncheon meeting featuring an address from an inspiring speaker. The meetings are intended to be a source of inspiration and a vehicle for fellowship for interested attorneys and law students.  We also organize fellowship events such as picnics at a local park or gatherings at a local attorney's home at least twice a year.

Specific information and a schedule of upcoming events can be found under the "Events" tab.

Law Student Ministry:

The society is dedicated to assisting and supporting the various student chapters of the National Christian Legal Society within the various Minnesota law schools.

Christian Conciliation Ministry:

The society sponsors training for individuals who are interested in being Christian Conciliators to assist in resolving disputes within the local church between Christians. The training emphasizes the Biblical model for dispute resolution found in Matthew 18.

NEXT EVENT: "Bringing Light Into Litigation: The Challenges of Being Salt
                       and Light in Legal Disputes"

Friday, January 25, 2008 at Noon - Luncheon at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Minneapolis

Description: Local Christian attorneys who practice litigation will join together for a panel discussion to explore how a Christian avoids being conformed to the pattern of the world in the contentious and adversarial realm of litigation.  What should our involvement with litigation be, given what Paul tells us about lawsuits in 1 Corinthians 6:1-8?  How does living for Christ change the way we approach advising clients and resolving disputes?  Does suing people put our faith in conflict with our work?  Please join us for a thoughtful and provocative discussion of these issues!

Please R.S.V.P. to Ted Landwehr at 763-781-7898 or by e-mail at
tland@landwehrlaw.com.
The cost is approximately $10 for a lunch catered by Eddingtons.

Approximately once every quarter, the society sponsors a breakfast or luncheon meeting featuring an address from an inspiring speaker such as an accomplished Christian attorney or scholar.  The meetings are intended to be a source of inspiration and a vehicle for fellowship for interested attorneys and law students.

We also periodically present CLE panels of local Christian attorneys to allow our legal community to dialogue and learn from one another regarding the intersection of faith and legal practice.

At least twice a year, we organize fellowship events such as picnics at a local park or gatherings at a local attorney's home.  These events are intended to allow local Christian attorneys to connect with one another and become acquainted, and especially to provide a forum for Christian law students to meet and interact with practicing Christian attorneys and benefit from their experiences.
