Emerson Thomson Bennett is an intellectual property boutique, practicing in all areas of intellectual property prosecution and litigation. Emerson Thomson Bennett is seeking an associate attorney with 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property law. Relevant experience would include both intellectual property law litigation and prosecution. Applicant must have already passed the patent bar. Mechanical engineering, physics, or electrical engineering undergraduate degrees preferred.
The associate will assist by handling matters that may include drafting patent applications, trademark applications, and copyright applications, as well as litigation support for patent, trademark, and copyright infringement lawsuits. Additional duties may include overseeing and managing existing clients.
Relevant Traits and Skills: should have a spiritual outlook on legal problems, good people skills, good writing skills; should be analytical, attentive to detail, self–motivated, and considerate.
Emerson Thomson Bennett is a mid-size, but growing firm that works locally, nationally, and internationally. Our office is in Akron, Ohio, but relocation is not a requirement, as our firm is set up for remote work.
