Handong International Law School (HILS) is the first of its kind in Asia, a truly Christian global law school in Korea educating and training future international lawyers for the challenges of the 21st century. The HILS curriculum is consistent with the standards set forth by the American Bar Association for US law schools with emphases on the role of Christian faith in legal practice and the skills and knowledge necessary for cross border practice. All HILS full-time faculty are licensed to practice law in the United States and have experience in various settings including law firms, prosecutor’s offices, corporations, non-governmental organizations. Upon graduation from the law school’s three year Juris Doctor program, HILS graduates qualify to take bar examinations in the United States. HILS graduates are serving all over Asia with Korean and international law firms and with in-house legal departments for global corporations, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and in ministry.

HILS seeks applicants for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions to begin in August 2024 and February 2025. Appointments will be considered for all subject areas and at all academic ranks, including entry-level (assistant professor) to full professor.

Salary or salary range: Commensurate with experience

Requirements: Candidates for entry-level positions should have a J.D. or an equivalent advanced degree and clear potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring.
