Tenure-Track Faculty Position

CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW, newly accredited by the ABA, is growing.  Concordia Law seeks applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for one or more tenure-track, full-time faculty positions.  We welcome candidates across all areas of law, although subject areas of particular interest include Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Evidence, Property Law, and Torts.

Concordia Law’s faculty is highly collegial and dedicated to supporting the students and the institution with the primary goals of enriching student learning and producing excellent scholarship. The faculty places high value on formative assessment and innovative approaches to student learning.

Concordia Law seeks applications from candidates with an exemplary academic record, a dedication to student success, mentoring, and community engagement, and a demonstrated achievement of or potential for outstanding teaching and scholarship.  Practice experience is preferred, and teaching experience is desirable.  The positions remain open until filled.

Concordia University is a Lutheran institution and is therefore interested in candidates who will support its mission and values. Concordia University does not discriminate in the employment of individuals on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, familial status, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or age. It reserves the right to give preference in employment based upon religion in order to further the Lutheran objectives of the University and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Concordia University embraces and welcomes diversity in its faculty, staff, and student body; accordingly, the School of Law actively welcomes applications from persons who would add to the diversity of our academic community.
