INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR ATTORNEY

Growing law office is in immediate need for a skilled attorney to work independently on case assignments ranging from: attending hearings, drafting pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, interacting with clients; an attorney that has sufficient experience and good judgment that they can work independently with little direction but enjoys collaboration.

 

Responsibilities:

Independent contractor will be able to handle an assignment from start to finish with minimal direction and complete work in an efficient manner.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Admission to the state bar of Washington

  • Three or more years of experience engaging in all aspects of civil litigation – trial work, discovery management experience and experience arguing in hearings will be given extra weight

  • Excellent research and writing skills – appellate writing experience a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Superior verbal and communication abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building capacity, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment

  • Prior independent contractor experience will be given extra weight

  • Strong commitment to ethics is a plus as well

  • Strong knowledge of property law principles a plus

  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy principles a plus
